Welcome to the Associated Student Government!
Mission: Our mission is simple and concrete, Bobcats for Bobcats. Our job is to represent you, the students (our peers) here at Texas State University - we intend to do that.
This year, ASG plans on starting full speed with the first meeting August 31, 2009, so all applications for Senator, Intern and City Council Liaison will be due earlier this year. We want to start our first meeting making all the appointments and filling all the positions so we can start serving our peers with more diligence. This is going to be difficult, but it's a task we are very serious about. Please get your applications in today. There are 10 senate positions, several intern positions, one position for the city council liaison and four positions for the new Tailgate Committee. All applications are located under the Documents tab.
Meetings: The ASG meets every Monday starting at 5:00 p.m. for the executive board, 5:30 p.m. for ASG's president's cabinet, 6:00 p.m. for senate committees and 7:00 p.m. for the official ASG meeting of the entire senate and executive staff. This meeting is held in 3-14.1 of the LBJ Student Center.
ASG Office: Our office is located on the 4th floor of the LBJ Student Center, 4-5.1.
Office Hours: TBA. We will be in the office frequently with the door open. However, we are students and attend class. Official office hours will be posted before before the start of the fall semester. We are serious about our open door policy, so please come see us if you have an issue of any kind. This is your office, too.
