Hey Bobcats!
First and foremost, I'd like to welcome you to Texas State University-San Marcos if you are a new graduate student here. If you're a returning student - wecome back! This semester Texas State will be the home of a record number of undergraduates and graduate students, and our goal is to make sure that your concerns are heard. That is why we have a completely open door policy to our graduate student government. With absolutely no reservations about it, we formally invite you to every meeting we hold to voice any concerns or just to get involved and do something while you're here.
With around 4,000 graduate students that are currently enrolled for 2008, we realize that it takes loud voices sometimes to get certain things changed for the better. Being as candid as I really would like to be, I don't think I can express how much we'd really love to hear from as many of you as possible this year. We are working on several projects in the Graduate House, including: parking issues, graduate student orientation improvements, and graduate student services.
Along with this invitation to be involved by attending our meetings, I also invite you to send a message to me during the year if any problems, concerns, or suggestions arise. My personal email address is: danielreed@txstate.edu. I would LOVE to hear from you.
Have a great year, Bobcats!
